Waiver of Depreciation:
OPCF 43

As the owner of a new vehicle that’s been leased or financed, Unica’s Waiver of Depreciation endorsement can protect the value of your purchase in the event of an accident or other claims.

Vehicle depreciation begins the moment you take ownership of your vehicle. According to data from a popular vehicle resale site a car can lose as much as 25% of its initial value immediately, and 60% on average within the first five years. When dealing with a total loss, you may still owe money on a vehicle’s lien beyond what your claim has been settled for. With Unica’s Waiver of Depreciation endorsement, your settlement will not be reduced due to depreciation for up to five years from the purchased date of that vehicle.
